Upon completion of the application (Downloads Available in provided links below) applicants can drop off firearms applications to Marlboro Police Headquarters. It is recommended applicants make apointments wtih the firearms coordinator to review your paperwork / applications for completeness and any errors. Please call (732) 536-0100 ext 1432 for an appointment to review the application. If you have any further questions regarding the application process, please contact the Firearm’s Unit .
Firearm ID Card and purchase permit fees may be combined on one check.
Firearm ID Card: A personal check for $5.00 made payable to the Marlboro Township Chief of Police.
This is for an initial card only!
Permit To Purchase: A personal check for $2.00 (per permit) made payable to the Marlboro Township Chief of Police.
Background Recheck: Required for each and every firearms application for current Firearms ID Card holder.
**Effective September 3, 2013, NJ State Police, State Bureau of Identification (SBI) will process 212A forms electronically (THIS FORM ONLY NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED AFTER YOUR INITIAL ID CARD HAS BEEN ISSUED). Marlboro Townships ORI number is NJ0132800. This number will be needed when filling out the 212A form . Internet access along with a credit card or electronic check will be required in order to complete the process. The processing fee is $20.00.

MENTAL HEALTH FORM (SP66) AND APPLICATION FOR FIREARMS ID CARD AND HANDGUN PERMIT (SPT033) CAN BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE ABOVE LINK. THESE ARE THE FORMS THAT NEED TO BE COMPLETED.
